I don't get how the strength can be different per tsp. Is there something else

besides the inositol in it?

Prices - Re: inositol question.....

We bought online to get lower prices. I bought mine from iherb.com

but there are probably prices lower than their's. We bought the

Source Natural Inositol Powder 226.8 grams which, not counting

shipping and now looking at price is $29.89. The strength per tsp

also seems to vary from brand to brand; this one is 845mg per 1/4 tsp.

iHerb has other choices/brands also. I'll be interested to see what

others say since we're planning to buy again at some point and I'll

be researching prices again!

Hi Kathy. There are no other ingredients in the Solaray brand. So I am going

on the assumption that if I measure out 10 grams, I am going to get 10 grams of

potency. You would hope that the GNC brand, since some of the stores are

charging an arm and a leg for it, would be pure as well.

Re: Prices - Re: inositol question.....

Many meds and supplements have fillers of different types to insure flow,

consistent dosing, prevent caking and so on. These inactive or 'other'

ingredients will be listed on the label. Different brands and forms

(tablet, powder) may have different fillers or differing amounts of filler

in it. Depending on what the filler is, it could affect the amount of

active ingredient (in this case inositol) per certain measurement such as

teaspoon or gram.

Thanks . I'll try them. Are you in Cda or U.S.? I have to take shipping

and border crossing into account.

Mo

I found some at a local health food

store, and got a couple prices online. I actually sat with my

calculator and figured out a price per gram, taking into

consideration the different potencies in each brand, (that's not

obsessive, is it???) and still came up lower online. I found

SportNutritionOutpost to have the lowest price per gram. I still

kept the bottle from GNC just so I could start it right away.

Thanks,
