Guest guest
- hi... I also have a child with BPP. She has BPP grade 3. She's almost 3 1/2 years old now. I've been where you are. I've had lots of questions. I've gotten the answers that I needed over the years. I have a photograph of my daughter at 9 mos.old. She's in her stroller. She was unable to sit up unassisted, at that time. You can tell this by the way she's laying against the inclined seat. Standing with his little hands on the side of her stroller is a little boy. He's 2 weeks older then my daughter. It was very painful for me, watching this little guy running around, when my baby couldn't even sit up yet. Very sad, but true. I'm going to give you the address for a webpage that my hubby and I have set up of her. These photos are all pretty recent ( I'd say the oldest photos are a year old ). My little Angel is delayed, but not extremely so. She can walk, run , climb, get into ALL kinds of mischief. She can say some words ( It's difficult understanding her most of the time. She has a very hard time using consonants ). She has a delightful laugh. She loves to be tickled ( & to tickle in return ). She loves playing with her dolls. She'll make them talk to each other in Crystalese ( that's what we call HER language !!! ). She's very social and loves going to handicapped pre-school. She's learning how to use a Dynavox. This is an augmentation device, that will speak FOR her. It's way cool !!! She LOVES using it. She knows how to turn it on and off and how to pick what she wants it to do for her ( what game to play, for example ) . That's my girl < smile > .... Anyway, she brings so much joy into our lives. She's adored by all who have had the opportunity to get to know her. Here's the link to her webpage : http://www.PictureTrail.com/crsmoogie Your Angel is still very young. Just keep stimulating him, and he'll make you proud every day of his life !!!! Try not to judge him using the standards for an ordinary child. Our kids are ANYTHING but ordinary < smiling wider > ....I used to drive myself crazy, concerning what milestones she should have made. She's my 4th child, so I've always been aware of how behind she is. I've come to accept that she will do what she does in her own time. We're not running a race !!! I hope that this gives you hope for your Angel's future. Give him great big {{{ HUGS }}} and kisses for us... Hang in there, we're all here for you.... Take care and God bless you all... - mommy of Crystal Aquielle - almost 3 1/2 years old - BPP Grade 3 - and the love of our lives !!!
