Guest guest
Thanks Caroline, for the advice- but I have been doing that for years. I have so many pillows that most of them " reside " next to the bed on the floor during the day because there is not enough room on the bed when it is made. I also have the body pillow which is a big help- or was. Poor thing is about used up and flat- time to get a new one I think. LOL. What I have been doing today is still using the rice-sock heating pad and when sitting in a chair I am using a pillow behind me to keep me straight and forward; this is obviously helping some because the pain has been less severe today. I should be pretty good by tomorrow. Must have just been a pinched nerve. Traci > > > Traci, > I believe first and foremost, you should have a doctor check out any new or strange symptoms... however, in the mean time, I have a trick that my help more than you think. > I have had the shooting pain in the groin and leg for many years, off and on. It was always worse when I was pregnant. My pain was caused by the psyatic nerve being pinch from the hip being misalligned. My doctor recommended a simple fix that helps tremendously. Sleep with a pillow between your knees if you sleep on your side, under your knees if you switch to your back, under your ankles if you are a tummy sleeper. I used to fix all my pillows at bedtime and wish I could just climb in bed and sleep like a normal person. Now, after 15 years of " knee pillows " I am happy to just be able to sleep. My husband kept stealing mine, he found he slept better, so now we both have them. LOL. If I sleep without it, I am in horrible pain the next day. Try it! Hope it helps, and be sure to call your doctor to make sure you don't have anything serious. > Smile, Caroline > > > > --------------------------------- >

Guest guest
Geez, Brent- you have had it, hunh? I didn't mean I thought I had that kind of pinched nerve- caused by a " slipped disk " or anything- just a simple pinched nerve. I think I was right thank God, because it seems to be improving. I have had this problem before- I think I just moved the wrong way or maybe slept the wrong way and something somewhere kinda got misaligned and caused a little nerve somewhere to get all bent out of shape and it took some time, heat, and good posture (and rest) to get it back to the right spot. I thank God I am feeling better some and not in your situation. Wish there were something I could do to help you... you sound so miserable. Take it as easy as you can and let us know how all the nerve-burning turns out. Love and hugs to you Brent-- Traci > > Last year, I had facet injections in my neck and upper back, because of > chronic pain and pinched nerves from 3 thoracic fractures and a slipped > cervical disc that was touching my spinal cord, and degenerative and > inflammatory arthritis from Stills. Guest guest
Thanks melt, Feeling a bit better. Did a injury report. Also the social worker is going to chew on the home that sent him to us. Should have been in a W/C via cabulance. Ouch. My Cna also was injuried. Love.
