Guest guest
, Pressures from family are the hardest - that's why it's great you have other support systems - tho I have to admit, friends still don't quite balance out family - so the only way to balance out is for you to be as strong as you can inside. I got SOOOOOOOOO much flack for nursing on demand, not letting my babies cry and oh, the vaccinations battles - talk about GUILT - and remembering the time I caved in and let my son have one of the shots and how HORRIBLE I felt after when he reacted. Having a great OB and great pediatrician will give strength to your side.If you're OB is not ready for all the wonderful advanced (NORMAL) ideas you hold precious, then please do try to find either another or a great midwife who will work well with OB - have you tried La Leche yet? Mothers there can give you more good tips as well as refer you to good local medical people who totally can support you. Or just move in with Reggie!!! HOwever, I'm being told by friends here that I'm stressing far too much at times about what I eat for baby. I know in general I do eat healthy. I should calm down. I think it's the pressure and wagging fingers I"m getting from family/inlaws who are making me feel like I'm starving and depriving my child of proper nutrients by not eating meat or dairy that is getting to me. Some have even out right told me that if I don't eat dairy and meat my child will be retarded. I know this isn't true, but being the only veg in the family or that they know, their stupid ideas are starting to stress me out. SO that if one small thing, G-d fobid, should be wrong with my baby they will be very quick to blame me and my diet for it for the rest of my life. > > "...become the change you envision" _ > > Re: have you tried soy kefir? __________________________________________________
