Love this one!  I use the rebounder for some of the more high impact moves to save my joints.  I haven't done #3, just 1 and 2 - both of which are quite fun and challenging.

Hi all,  today was Cathe Imax 2.  I was afraid it was going to be as confusing as Imax 3 which I just totally gave up on and quit, but it wasn't as bad as that one.  It was a hard workout and I did get lost a few times on the step portions, but I did what I could, and I know that this is one that I can catch on to someday.  The cardio was hard for me on this one and I did have to take a few breaks here and there.  I did like this workout though, it's not my favorite, but after doing it a few more times I know I will like it.  Have a great day all.

Oh god, I don't need to pick this one up!  I am REALLY dreading menopause.  I'd rather see Aunt Flo once a month any day and I don't need Kathy to remind me of how much it sux!Hugs!

Since I am still doing a low impact/recovery week, today I decided to try another virgin from my pile.  It is called Moving through menopause with Kathy .  I don't know why I bought it,  the woman in my family don't seem to ever go thru menopause really, but anyways I bought it.  It is not just a workout DVD.  There seems to be a lot of good information for women that are of an age to be going through it or about to go thru menopause.  the workouts themselves are very easy.  There is a cardio workout, a strength workout and a yoga workout.  On the cover it says they are 20 minutes each so I thought I would do all 3 of them this morning, but they seemed to run a little longer and I didn't get the yoga part in.  I will do it tomorrow night maybe after work. The strength portion has kegel exercises to help with incontincence and help improve your sex life.  I don't have either one of those problems now (except that it is hard to have a sex life when your husband is in another country)  but hey, they were in the workout so I did them.  LOL   The informational part has several doctors speaking and goes over the problems associated with menopause and also ways to get thru it.  they discuss some herbal remedies such as ginko biloba, st johns wort, kava kava, etc.   There is one part where Kathy says that we will all get thru menopause and that no one ever died from hot flashes or a dry vagina (she really did say that).  I think there may also be a book that goes along with this, but I don't have that.  If you want the information, this is a good DVD, but like I said, the workout is not much of a workout at all.   Well, there you have it.  I am off to read my 366 email messages now.  Good nite all.

LOL! I'm going through it right now, and it's no big deal. It's actually a relief. I'm not doing anything special about it except for upping my exercise and making sure my diet is spot on. I have mild hot flashes occasionally, but it's no big deal. I notice that I only really have them if I've had alcohol, and since I rarely have any, it isn't an issue. It might be easy for you too!

Only once a month? You're a very nice lady. :) I know people who are bitchy the whole month. That's where my body tries to gain weight now. I gain weight very easily, but every time I start to gain, I nip it. It takes focus.

Good morning all. Today I did workout 3 of the RKS series it is as follows:

WORKOUT 3: 28 minutes in length minus warm-up and cool down..This workout consisted of 3 Supersets roughly around 10 minutes or so in length.Superset 1...3x half get ups each side-I started out with a 15 and wimped down to a 12, still heavy on the left side but I did it5x Goblet Squats -I used an 18 lb30 seconds restrepeat this set as many times as you can within 10 minutes with good formSuperset 2...Suitcase Deadlifts 5x right side 5x left side-I started with an 18 but then went to a 25 lb.10x alternating reverse goblet lunge -I used an 1830 seconds or so of rest or whatever you needrepeat as many times as you can within 10 minutes with good formSuperset 3...Window Wipers 30 seconds-I used a 12 lb kb to hold up while I did theseRest 30 secondsAlternating leg lifts 30 seconds-I used a 12 lb kb to hold up while I did theseRest 30 secondsRepeat

3 times

After that I did the bonus section from the Shiva Rea yoga I started the other day. It is foundation yoga from Shiva's Fluid Power. It was 13 minutes long. I didn't like it at all, I couldnt see her while i was bent over and she was cuing, but since I don't know any of the stuff shes talking about, I wasn't able to follow. I need to find me an easy beginner yoga workout to start with. If anyone has any recommendations let me know. Thanks.

Thanks.

I second the Eion Finn rec. I was able to jump into the "Easy Street" workout on the Pursuit of Happy Hips dvd right away. He usually gives you time to check your form and to settle into the pose. I think the only time when the poses are more fluid are during the sun salutations but even then he focuses on proper form and adjusting the alignment of your bones and such.NamikoTo:
