Guest guest
LOL! As I've probably said so many times I'm getting really tired of myself, I use simple baking soda to brush my teeth in. Works perfectly! Best with an electric brush though. Inger Re: Sweeties > >Saccharin is a type of sugarAnd sodium saccharin in my Colgate 'sparkling white mint zing baking soda and peroxide'? "Et tu" must be a sugar? I hope it's okay to dis-advertise this brand that I suddenly, thank you folks, don't even want to use up!Rainbow
Guest guest
Some artificial sweetners give me really bad stomach cramps. I bought some flavoured water a bit back (a brand I'd not bought before - it just looked nice) and I could not drink it all because I was in quite a bit of pain and I'd not even drunk 1/2 the bottle (small bottle). I checked the label - sure enough there was some artificial sweetner in it - even though it didn't say it was a diet drink. I had to chuck it away - it'll teach me to read labels anyway. As for toothpaste - I remember when I was younger and we ran out of toothpaste brushing our teeth with salt. At the moment I have some toothpaste that is made with 'tea tree' and some other stuff - tasted pretty weird at 1st - but I have gotten used to it now :-) > > >Saccharin is a type of sugar > > And sodium saccharin in my Colgate 'sparkling white mint zing baking soda and peroxide'? Guest guest
I used salt too for a while, but found baking soda more gentle and unabrasive. Besides, if you happen to have sensitive teeth or the tiniest sore (e.g. from accidentally biting your tongue or cheek) I can assure you that using salt is not a pleasant experience! :-) Inger Re: Toothpaste > As for toothpaste - I remember when I was younger and we ran out of toothpaste brushing our teeth with salt. Guest guest
It wasn't a pleasant experience and my teeth tend to be very sensitive - I srubbed them too hard when younger assuming in my then childs logic that brushing them harder was brushing them better. > I used salt too for a while, but found baking soda more gentle and > unabrasive. Guest guest
Hi , Nutra sweet does that to me, I can't digest it, If I have a little I get cramps and diarreha, If a lot of it, I'm throwing up, Neither of which is any fun. I tend to avoid most artificial sweeteners or things with them in it. Bethgreebohere wrote: Some artificial sweetners give me really bad stomach cramps.
