I remember Lin because of the windpipe problem and hair loss. I'm so glad

to know that you're feeling so much better, you give me hope. Could it be

the greater amt of T3, with the blood sugar? There are so many factors

there, it's hard to know. I know that you probably do your cholesterols,

etc....but I'm wondering have you had a homocysteine? It can be a greater

indicator of what's going on inside your blood vessels. How about your

diet? What were your last Free T3 and Free T4 readings?

Re: do ya'll remember my problem ?

Hi Jan,

we have a medical school right here in SA TX.

I had gone there for 2

yrs but finally had to stop as it was costing me

way too much, more

than a paycheck. dont be led to believe they

are cheaper or free...

no such thing. at least not in this city.

not many people qualify for anything down there

now.

I went there during my hyperplasia and what later

turned out to be a

thyroid disorder. they charged me $222.00

per month and a CT or MRI

was going to be $1500. I dont have that kind

of money, and we cant

afford insurance at all, that takes a whole

paychck, plus $1000

deductible plus the 20%.. I just dont have it..and

probably never

will unless I win the lottery !!!

I am now going to a small clinic and my office

visits are only $29

and the DR said he can get my CT or MRI for about

$700 if I pay

cash. I wish I had that much, but I dont. I

barely have $50 left

over after bills are paid. and now that I am on 4

medications my

prescriptions are running close to $100 a

month.and if he raises the

dose of amount of tablets of 2 of my

meds..well....so there goes my

extra $50 !!

but what I was wondering.. is that since I was put

on the 90 mg of

armour... its as though what ever was inside there

has shrunk, its

not much of a bother at all. and I was

just wondering if this was

possible, and if all I needed was the stronger

dose of armour.??

I can sleep at night with out any problem, only on

a few occasions I

had to move the windpipe over. but considering its

been a year now

going from 30mg,60mg, to the 90mg. it seems

like the 90mg armour has

done the trick... my hair has grown in so much

that its like I never

had lost any. my female problems are all

cured now, in fact they are

better than at any time in my life. I no longer

have the horrible

pain every month, which started when I was 12 and

got worse over the

years. thats gone, so now I know what its like to

have normal cycles.

its amazing. no one would believe the pain I went

thru each month,

there were times I could not turn over in bed, I

could not walk

across the room, and there were some months where

just breathing hurt

everything inside me,. thats all gone, no more

pain at all. its just

amazing. I wish they had tested me when I

was younger, I might have

been spared all this pain.

I wont be getting another TSH until after july. we

are now doing it

only once a year to see if all is well.

unfortunately my hypoglycemia has turned into

diabetes , I have been

on 2 different medications and see the DR wed. to

talk about

increasing the glucophage I take now. and for some

reason my blood

pressure has started going up.. but at least the

thyroid has gotten

better !!!!!!!!!!!! LOL.

Those two top tests (HGB and HCT) are your red blood cell hemoglobin and

your hematocrit. It looks like they are both very slightly in the low

range. Right now, my red blood cell counts are messed up, but not my iron

or ferritin. The color and consistency of the hemoglobin, high MCV, and

then the MCHC. These all have to do with the quality and quantity with the

size, number of, and contents of your red blood cells. My general RBCs are

low also. I've had a B12 run and it's normal, but I'm just going to have

the full CBCs rerun because it could be a quirk, possibly the specimen sat

too long. If it's still the same, then I'm going after the Red Cell Folate

and Serum Folate. Homocysteine is also a good one to help determine B12

shortage or Folic Acid shortage. If it is true, then it's probably going to

be because I've maintained being hypo for so long now.
