Guest guest
Ursula, I am SO glad that you didn't get tied up with Dr. Vogler!! I was holding my breath to hear back from you about Macey's immunologist. We did the same thing...let the ped handle everything for the most part and just saw Dr. Vogler intermittently throughout the three years. He and the ped covered up each other's mistakes with Chad and I think that's what really got me. They wouldn't admit that they caused it, called it a " fluke " , " highly unusual reaction " . This happened because they gave Chad immunizations with strep in his system. I had tried repeatedly to tell them that Chad still had signs of strep. He lost his tonsils and adnoids after this episode. But the reaction was that he could not even walk, was running a steady 104 fever which they couldn't break. Took him into emergency surgery, did an unneccessary hip aspiration because they thought he was setting up septic arthritis. I read up on that and found that it's caused by.....STREP! The doctor you mentioned was one of the partners in Dr. Lotner's practice. I've never met him, but the ped's office mentioned him when they sent us back to Dr. Lotner. They were telling me that since Dr. Lotner's group didn't take our insurance that we MIGHT have some luck with the doctor in Macon who was part of the group. But since we already knew Dr. Lotner, we stuck with him. I do hope that we can run into each other at Egleston one of the days. It would be so great to meet you. Please forgive me for taking up so much space with all my posts. For nine years, I've never had anyone to talk to about all these issues (other than the doctors) and it's just so overwhelming to me to be able to hear all of the stories here and to know that there are others who have and are facing all the same issues. Ursula, I could never thank you enough for allowing me to have this pleasure! I'll do my best to stop the overflow that's coming out of me and post in a more normal manner. As you will see by all my posts tonight, I tried to do the " digest email " thing and haven't known how to post back on them the right way. I'm going to change it back over to individual mails so that maybe I can figure this all out. Please have patience with me, I'll do better. , mother of Chad, age 9, " Hypo " , GERD, Asthma/Bronchitis, " Allergy King " , Scoliosis, ??IGA Nephropathy and Anemia
