Guest guest Posted August 18, 2011 Report Share Posted August 18, 2011 Hi ,A bit of a late reply here, as I've been away for a few days... but it may be worth evaluating this man for H. pylori infection via IgG and IgM testing. With a bit of a mysterious case such as this one, I would be inclined to rule this out as a possible contributing factor.If you search Pubmed for idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura and H. pylori, you'll find some interesting references to their association. If the organism is present, then eradicating it together with a focus on immunomodulation may prove to be pretty helpful for this fellow.Something to consider...Kind regards, -- MarkMARK C.
