Guest guest
Thank you so much for posting this. I've had some Tempeh sitting in my fridge for a few weeks now not knowing what to do with it. I've been trying to figure out if I should eat the black spots that have developed on it or cut it away. Therefore, I do nothing and let it sit... > > > > all you ever wanted to know... > > > http://www.tempeh.info/ > > -- > > Ilanit > > ------------------------------------------------------------------- ----- > > Little Tree Pty Limited, Melbourne, Australia (Little Tree). ® > registered trademark, © copyright 2003. Guest guest
unlike with other foods where black spots should make you run a mile, the spots on tempeh (if it is not two years old - LOL ;-) area ctuallypart if it - I have made it myself and have the book of tempeh and it is fine I love tempeh - today I pressure cooked it with fresh and shiitake mushrooms, kombu, leek, tamari, rice vinegar and dried thyme - then took a sourdough spelt bread and cut it in a sqaure - cute away the crusts - it was oldish - then cutt the top off the sqaure and scooped out the bread so I had a little box. Then I put the box in a steamer and put some of the tempeh mix in the box and steamed it tempeh in a box! you can also make a loaf from grated tempeh and veggies, make tempeh sweet and sour, bake it in the oven, crumb in, saute it, deep fry it, steam it, make stew, sauces for noodle dishes olivia.rose4 wrote: Thank you so much for posting this. Guest guest
 Haven't found yours yet, but did find Chef 's and it looked much better than the other one. He cut the tempeh into much smaller pieces and he flavored it with a special soy sauce and some BBQ dry powder that he liked. He used flax oil on the plate too and a special salad dressing. Used lentils on the salad and also bean sprouts that were fairly small. And cashews with amino acid on them I think he said. But it did look much more appetizing. Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Saturday, May 19, 2012 9:43 PM Subject: Re: Tempeh  Here's a video I made some time ago when I made a tempeh salad.
