Guest guest
> Read all of chapter 16. He talks about CLO dose and safety in several > places. ---> I've read it a few years ago. Will go back through it more carefully when I have some time than just flipping like I did last night. I didn't see any warning jump out at me last night although he does recommend butter oil to make it more effective. > Sally has 50,000iu a day of vitamin A (estimated to be consumed by the > primitives) listed on the WAP website. She then contradicts that info ------> Yes, the number I quoted was from a post she made in response to mine on the chapterleaders site. I was concerned when I first started this high dose a couple of months ago and she told me she averages about 30,000. She increases sometimes up to close to 90,000 when she's under stress. She said it makes a definite difference but she doesn't maintain this high dose for long periods. And of course I don't expect to either and have already dropped the dose a bit. in another spot on the website, so she really needs to get the website > cleaned up (besides needing to replace the WORTHLESS search function with a Google search field). -----> Yes that would be good. Since the WPF is a low budget nonprofit maybe someday someone will volunteer to set this up. I believe her son made the present web site. Actually I don't really mind the present web site all that much. But I agree the search engine really doesn't function well. This much vitamin A was probably obtained > from liver and other organ meats and fish eggs etc. in addition to the > eyes of fish and game. ----> Absolutely they did. I do eat liver but maybe not enough. I was using 1-2 oz raw in a pottenger tonic daily for quite awhile. It was very helpful but nothing compared to the high CLO doses I'm presently using. Maybe if I could get very very fresh liver I could tolerate more every day but I simply couldn't take more. It averaged to 8-10oz/ week. Sally also said she eats liver in some form every week. > Price estimated that the primitives he studied consumed 10 times the > RDA of his day for vitamin D. That equals what the vitamin D council is > reccomending we consume on a daily basis (4,000IU) if we are not > getting at least that amount via sun exposure. ----> do you have a link for the RDA of Price's time? I was looking for that. Since most of us have > chosen to get it via CLO (vs. sun exposure or lard) then we are limited > by the rancidity potential of CLO and it;s blood thinning effects. ---> Don't know about the rancidity and blood thinning effects as being a real problem. All I know is this is making my life function again at level I can get things done and deal with the teens I teach. Nothing I was trying was working to the extent this is. Guest guest
I was reading these threads on and off then went to look at how many IUs of A i get in my CLO each day -- 4,000. I'm kind of floored at taking almost 10 times that amount (of course i would have to see what i get through food too). Am I reading this right? How many tablespoons is that? I would have to take 15 capsules to get 30,000 IU. Elaine >> She increases sometimes up to close to >> 90,000 when she's under stress. Guest guest
I took 400,000 IU on two consecutive days amounting to 800,000 IU in total. I gave my daughter the same. In Germany, on the product info, it states Vitamin A can be safely given once up to 1,200,000 IU ...to adults... My daughter's chronic constipation went and I had BEAUTIFUL skin the next few days. The autism list s I am on have lots of parents who are using high dosing as it is thought to kill the measles virus which is believed to have conme from the MMR!!! in Germany Re: Vitamin D toxicity? - Price's comments in NAPD on CLO > I was reading these threads on and off then went to look at how many IUs of > A i get in my CLO each day -- 4,000. Guest guest
>>>Does anyone know how many IU is 10mcg?<<< Don't worry - I found this: http://www.simetric.co.uk/si_medical.htm#iu " Note on International Units ( i.u. ) An old measurement of vitamin activity determined by biological methods as opposed to new measures that are determined by direct chemical analysis. Many health foods and supplements still use i.u. ( IU ). For Vitamin A, 1 i.u. = 0.3µg retinol, 3.6µg b-carotene, or 7.2µg other vitamin A carotenoids For Vitamin D, 1 i.u. = 0.025µg cholecalciferol For Vitamin E, 1 i.u. = 0.67µg natural a-tocopherol (different conversion factors are used for different forms of vitamin E) " So that means 10mcg of Vit. D = 400 IU. Is that right? Cheers, Tas'.

FWIW, I'd been taking 2 Tbsp. of the high vitamin CLO for several months when I did a vit. D test and my level was 62 - within Krispin's healthy tropical range. I think the amount of D I was getting was between 7,000-8,000 IUs/daily. Prior to that I'd been taking 1 Tbsp. of the same CLO for several months. Everyone has different requirements, and I seem to require quite a bit. > Suze Fisher Lapdog Design, Inc. Web Design & Development http://members.bellatlantic.net/~vze3shjg Weston A. Guest guest
That's why I'm using high vitamin CLO. One tsp has around 5,000 so a tbls would give me 15,000. Since I'm presently aiming for the 30,000 -60,000 range it's 2-3 tbsp. I couldn't do this without other big problems if I tried to use regular CLO. Sally says she uses up to 4 tblsp of high vitamin when she under stress and uses liver once a week so that a lot of vit A. She says she can think clearer.
