Guest guest
Dear Newbies, Not everyone on this Beloved List agrees that it is better to store the scobies and brew outside the refrig. Perhaps more do, but I think that even the List Owner,Bev, herself, keeps hers in the refrig. Thank God this is a democraticc list. i'm 86 and don't know how long I might be around, but, please, some of you keep an open mind, try all these disputed ideas and prove them true or false for yourselves. Don't let this List become a staid, old dictatorship devoid of new ideas. Of course, it doesn't hurt to store them on the counter. Perhaps it's even better there, if you have plenty of room, but the only counter I have left is about 3 ft wide. I need to store in the refrig. and have done so successfully since the Blizzard of 96. I keep my finished brew in three Welch's gallon, glass grape juice jugs and one half gallon glass jug. It takes two refrigerators to keep me going while storing mommas for four separate strains. I know personally that cold scobies brew rapidly in six and one-half days. Please don't accept the posts on this List as gospel. Prove them for yourselves. But there is one gospel we nearly all accept. You have to use real tea sinesis. Blessings on you all. LOve. MArge.
