Guest guest
Thank you Barbie! I'm going to do all I can to try to get Gammagard since it's one of the more pure ones. Maybe with this article I found, I'll get somewhere. , mother of Chad, age 9, " Hypo " , GERD, Asthma/Bronchitis, " Allergy King " , Scoliosis, ??IGA Nephropathy and Anemia Re: Interesting Kidney Info > , Hold your ground about trying another brand. Guest guest
Yes I am a Pediatric/ NICU nurse. I also have a degree in Biochemistry and had planned to be a Pediatrician. But due to my own health problems and desire to have children chose not to. I own a Home Health Agency. But I am mostly a mom who is learning something new every day and has the same worries as each of you. I love to share what little knowledge I have but it seems that many of you are even better read than I am. BARBIE Lucas, PID, ???? Guest guest
Thank you Barbie. Chad never had any problems with Gammagard either. It was the first product he ever had. We got it for years, but when the shortage started, everything was thrown our way and the hospital pharmacist says that he can't control what he can get in. I'm going to see if he can get Chad in on the program that I've seen on the IDF website where they can help you get specific products. I don't know if this applies only to patients who are infused at home, but it's sure worth a shot. I've been guessing that you are a nurse or that you work in the medical field in some capactity. Which is it, lol? Re: Interesting Kidney Info > In a message dated 3/24/2001 1:19:09 PM Eastern Standard Time, > crookfamily@... writes: > > > > Thank you Barbie! Guest guest
Kudos to you for accomplishing all you have, Barbie!! I KNEW you had medical training because all of your posts are so consistent with everything I've learned from medical staff all these years. It's an added plus for all of us PID mothers to have your knowledge from both ends of the spectrum. I've been soaking up all the good info I've seen you share. That's one of the greatest things about this group to me....we can all see all of the posts and even though something may not apply to our individual cases right then, we can learn about it and have it in store for future reference if needed. It's so great to me to see all these mothers who care so much for their children. I worked for DFCS and have seen the opposite end of that too many times. With you being a nurse, I know you've seen it too, so I guess in some ways, our children are lucky after all. , mother of Chad, age 9, " Hypo " , GERD, Asthma/Bronchitis, " Allergy King " , Scoliosis, ??IGA Nephropathy and Anemia Re: Interesting Kidney Info > Yes I am a Pediatric/ NICU nurse.
