What an AMAZING group! :) I'm new + enjoying this excellent group!

Hey there!

I was recommended to check this group out! I love it! I am so

passionate about supporting local foods, our farmers, organics! I just

watched The Future of Food and can't wait to watch Food Matters + the

more I learn about Monsanto, big businesses, etc... the more I know

groups like this are essential and the only way to protect the local

farmers + to provide education!

I grew up in both Minnesota and North Dakota, then lived in Papua New

Guinea for 27 years! In 2005, I returned to MN and I have been going to

farmers markets educating about + selling Gourmet Golden Omega 3 Flax.

There is only 10% of this gourmet flax grown in the world. More and more

flax is coming from China + South American countries -which can be

problematic b/c the standards in these countries are many times very

different and the long storage + shipment can be avoided by buying " from

our own backyards! "

People just don't always know, but I believe that the more we know, the

more we can do!

Flax is a very Economical way to get added protein, Omega 3, fiber +

Lignans into our diets. We all know a lot about Omega 3, but Lignans

are being studied more + so far have shown to have anti-inflammatory

benefits + anti-cancer benefits along with helping balance hormones esp

for those with many PMS symptoms or hot flashes.

I also have some fabulous recipes + tips for how to add flax to the

diet!

I am passionate about learning more about eating local as well as

letting people know the benefits of Gourmet Flax! I am also blessed to

work with a Family Farmer whose ethics and honesty stand strong against

a lot of pressure!
