Hi Guys,

I just wanted to tell you all again how much I enjoy this list. Doing this by yourself can make you feel isolated and you guys have made me feel like we are all in it together. I am finishing wk 4 and there have been many mental ups and downs already. It feels like I have been doing this for so long. I won't lie, it's been hard eating clean and kicking my own a** every day with the work outs. The hardest thing is getting used to watching the numbers move so slowly. As many of us remember, with diets you get used to watching the "pounds" fly off, compared to this. I know this is healthier and so much better but it's hard. I haven't seen a lot of change yet- I've lost I think 3 or 4 lbs of fat and so far have put on a least a lb or so of muscle. (don't yell, I know this is good) I'm waiting for next week to measure on the Tanita after period week (sorry guys). I keep reminding myself that I have a year and even in 3-6 more months I will be looking so much better. It's easy to want fast results but we have comfort in knowing that our results are long lasting.

Quick story~ I can't remember if I posted this here or not, but last week we went camping w/ another couple. I kayaked a ton instead of doing 3 days of BFL as it was pretty wooded and remote. I ate whatever I wanted....s'mores, pistachios, junk food, etc. If I had been on a diet, I would have come back, jumped on the scale and freaked out when I saw the 5 pound carb gain. It didn't happen with this plan. I did step on the scale within 4 days of returning and my numbers held fast. I didn't make gains but I didn't lose ground either. It was awesome. I felt like I had the needed break and over the course of my next year, that slip up won't mean diddly!
