I did some consulting in Australia in the 1990s and met a bunch of

people in science and business in Sydney, Canberra, and Melbourne.

, I have no idea and I can't see why it matters the least bit. In

" small world " networks you can connect any two people in the world by

about six acquaintences. In a group this size, I would think that the

odds of two people knowing someone in common are pretty high.
