" What is adjectival commentary? And you really believe that will

forestall misinterpretations? "

Read this sentence:

" It is for you and Inger to make judgements but you cannnot provide

my with any real verifiable evidence. Fine. "

The use of the word " Fine " indicates vindictiveness.

Understandably, my words may not be taken well by you, but what I am

hoping for is that you consider them as given and free them of

negative connotations. In this way you can see that what Inger and I

are trying to do is to embrace you and integrate you into the group.

Naturally I do not believe that we can hope to forestall ALL

mistinterpretations by adopting a more neutral tone when we post,

but I think being calm and deliberate in our posting habits does

help quite a bit in staving off hostility.

" And that is not a diss is it? What evidence can you present apart

I have negative emotions apart from your interpretation? "

It would seem that you view my comments as an attack upon you. Far

from it. If you are truly Aspie, then we want you with us. The more

the better. We all have commonalities and for that reason we are a

society of our own. You must understand that when I take issue with

your verbiage, I am not at all taking issue with you as a person.

There is quite a difference. If you are here, it is because you are

seeking others like yourself. There are many here like you, but

they may be reluctant to totally embrace you pending the resolution

of our discussions.

" A higher level of brushing things under the carpet. That's rich.

Do your worse Tom!

"

I have no intention of doing so. On the contrary, I shall try to do

my best. I offer you my hand in friendship. Follow the lead of

those around you and you will soon see how we interact here. If you

have questions about how you can better fit in here, ask, and you

will be answered.

You have created more than a refuge from hostile environments, Tom

but also a refuge from the standard interpretations of dictionary

defined words and written communications.

On what do you base your personal judgement that " fine " at the end of

a sentence means vindictiveness? Can you not recognise me

acknowledging your authority to make decisions here in that quote?

> Understandably, my words may not be taken well by you, but what I

You have just taken the words out of my mouth. Exactly!!

>In this way you can see that what Inger and I are trying to do is to

>embrace you and integrate you into the group.

Everyone else in the group apart from Raven and Inger have been

silent publicly. One or two have expressed how much my comments

have " opened their eyes " ? See message 5458, " a few concessions " .

You are understanablly siding with your moderator.

But IMO, you are agreeing with someone who has been proved incorrect

at every turn.

Agreed.

So its ok for the moderator an administrator to make accusatory

attacks (in their own judgement) but not members--is that the double

standard?

>The more the better. We all have commonalities and for that reason

That is why comments about Ken's non-action have been misinterpreted.

Golly, Tom you are making my argument for me. :-)

. You have said that silence of other members of this group

implys agreement with you. I have remained silent (mainly to avoid

saying something I would regret), but I agree with Tom and Inger. I

find your posts throuout this debate to be hostle. It makes me

hesitant to interact with you.

. You have said that silence of other members of this group

implys agreement with you. I have remained silent (mainly to avoid

saying something I would regret), but I agree with Tom and Inger. I

find your posts throuout this debate to be hostle. It makes me

hesitant to interact with you.

You came in here with a more aggressive attitude than we are used to

and comfortable with in this forum. I only did my job and informed

you of our policy and rules.

Instead of accepting responsibility for your behavior, you chose to

contest my assessment with increasing hostility and rudeness.

Despite this, Tom elected to give you a fair chance to change your

behavior and move on.

But you choose to contest his assessment too and continue being

belligerent, argumentative and provocative, as well as continuing to

go on about Ken, even though I have repeatedly explained that he is

not obliged to communicate with you upon demand.

I had really hoped to see a more positive response to Tom's

generosity towards you; that you could have just said " OK " and gone

back to having the type of productive discussions you have also shown

yourself capable of.

As you elected not to do so, and do not want to risk losing Ken as a

member, we have no other choice but to put you on moderation.

Oke, I don't like to be forced to make a statement, but I agree with several others on this forum: the eternal discussion that you, , seem to find a joy, makes the forum very unhostile for me.

You are not alone (I posted that it would be nice if all could agree

to disagree) - this is taking up far too much forum space. There are

however unaswered questions - I hope they will be answered, mostly

for my curiosity :-)

Who is the 'mutual acquaintance'?

Do Ken and know one another?

Sorry if these questions cause any trouble.
