Some people said that they had a hard time finding fresh lotus root:

for those of you who live in the Greater Boston area, there is an Asian

supermarket in Waltham on Waverly Oaks Road (which is close to Routes 2

and 95) that sells them. It's kind of hidden on the back side of a

strip mall.

Hi,

You can get plenty of fresh lotus root and burdock at the Super 88 Chinese supermarket

chain in the greater Boston area.

A great trick to keep lotus root fresh is to store it in a container of

water changed daily.

Burdock stays fresh in the refrigerator when tightly wrapped in plastic.

I've discovered that ginger keeps well wrapped in a paper towel ind a

closed zip lock bag.
