's ideas are right on ! I think what people are confusing

the soy issue with - they probably read a few lines from that article

in time magazine was feeding soy formula to infants. I am sure many do

fine but there have been some issues with that - not what this ignorant

person was trying to scare you with. but more with precocious puberty

and breast development in little boys. but that is also attributable to

the hormones these kids are getting in their foods - and animal fats -

basically it is a symptoms of them and their parents eating totally out

of sync with nature and we dont mean a cookie here or there, !

These people are living on things that make the cardboard boxes they

come in look nutritious. And still most are in okay shape, have all

their fingers and toes and can add 2 and 2 together. It takes a lot to

throw mother nature off course. relax and enjoy the ride....

I also agree that being too anxious is probably more harmful than what

you could ingest - but dont get worried about that - just try to watch

the fears and thoughts and dont follow them - we have a choice about

which thoughts we follow and build on and those we dont. Most of us

think we ARE our thoughts. We are really just watching - them like you

are watching these words on a screen.

And many of us have our fears and attitudes about foods passed to us

from our parents even at a subtle level. And those kind of attitudes

often do as much harm to kids as the supposed bad stuff many of them

are fed. So if you are aware that you have a lot of ideas even attached

to foods, being aware of them before your little one arrives on the

scene is a great idea. Even just a little.

anyway - enjoy it all!

Hi

I am not sure the person at work has any right to say that to you or

has any correct information on tofu. I ate lots of tofu throughout all

my pregnancy's and had two boys - no problems in the willy department!!

There have been many discussions about soy and so will only touch on it

briefly but traditionally soy was used in miso, shoyu, tofu, tempeh and

natto made using natural methods - all great for health. The other

traditional way to take soybeans was cooked with salmon head - sorry

guys just explaining the tradition here or black soybeans cooked for

hours - in both cases making the beans strong and contracting. Yellow

soybeans can also be cooked with onion, carrot and burdock and seasoned

with miso - a vegetarian alternative and very good for anemia. Other

ways to take in soy are more recent and not balanced.

I don't mean to be too strong here but I think you really need to

calm down about your diet because your fears will start to cause

problems - it appears from your emails that you have a number of issues

regarding diet which may need to be addressed with a therapist. I

really understand your fears but it seems that the pregnancy is

triggering things that were already there from before and they do need

to be looked at in order for you to enjoy a wonderful pregnancy. I hope

you don't mind me saying this but as a mother of 7 and having worked

with women with eating disorders I do feel somewhat concerned.

Many blessings and please take care.
