I met far too many mean girls in my lifetime...it's no wonder the sensitive, loving and caring ones are a rarity nowadays! It's also no surprise that I am no longer looking for Miss Right.

Yes we do. I was intending to post it there as well but as happens when I am down here, the folks showed up and I was off again. They've also given me a task which has become something of a temprory obsession: I was asked to draw up rough floor plans for the new pond house. I'll put up another post about that though.

Here is an article which discusses a study on mean girls. It says that

they can get their start ever before they are toddlers and by the time

they are 3 or 4 years old they are already using social skills to bully

others and get what they want.

These are the girls who have made my life hell. And one of the

reasons why I typically get along better with men. (Though I know only

one AS woman in real life and she seems very nice.)

I can relate to what you're saying. When I was a child I knew girls

that would say - if you don't do this - or give me this - then your

not my friend and so on.

Unfortunately it took me a very long time to understand what the

concept of a friend was - and it did not help with these early

examples

that made me think a friend was obviously not a very nice thing. Even

now I sometimes struggle with the concept of friendships but I

believe

I have a much better understanding than I once did :-)

Many here have the exact same experience; being able to better get along

with men for precisely that reason. Me too. I thought I didn't like women.

But since meeting atypical women I'm finding that we all get along just

swell. Probably because most AS women are not at all like those horrid NT

'in clique' girls who have such pretty faces but such ugly minds. Some AS

women may be a bit brusque and overly straightforward at times, but they

generally only mean well. I've only seen a few AS or ADHD women who seem to

enjoy bullying others and that's elsewhere, on other boards, where that sort

of thing is tolerated. Here, we only seem to attract the friendliest Aspies

on the web.
