Guest guest
I'm interested in hearing about any holistic treatments that you feel have helped you. I'm just beginning to treat my CFS after having it for 25 years. Sounds outrageous, I know. But I was just diagnosed (that's another story...). For five months, I've had acupuncture once a week, plus taking supplements as recommended by a naturopath. I'm also trying to get to sleep earlier, and I meditate or nap about an hour every afternoon. The biggest help for me was taking UltraInflamx that the naturopath recommended. It helped my IBS in a major way; the IBS is at least 70% better. I actually ate some cheese and wheat without any reaction. However, I'll caution that by saying that the recent stress of holiday travel and food has negatively affected my stomach--it's bothering me again. But I had a wonderful hiatus from IBS, and know that I can get better again with good diet (avoid a huge list of foods, as most of you are familiar with) and some Inflamx. Also, detoxing with Ultra Clear Sustain. Don't know if that's made a difference, but a couple of people have said that I seem " more clear " and the dark circles under my eyes have faded. My general health has been better since doing these nutritional supplements, acupuncture, plus some other supplements. I noticed that traveling to my family's over the holidays I was much better than usual. I could tolerate more. However, the " vacation " took its toll and I had an upsetting trip home. But I'm on track to mend again. I may have posted this to the list a while ago, but this acupuncturist/naturopath also has a QuantumX machine (or EAV machine) that gives specific information on all systems and organs in the body. It really seems like voodoo. I'm taking a major leap of faith. But it's noninvasive, so what the heck. I've done it twice. First time it showed I needed " good " bacteria so I take probiotics; also showed I needed minerals and so I take liquid ones. Second time it showed I had virus and bacteria--so I take homeopathic liquids for those. The QX machine also does some " repair " , I think it's based on the electric energy in the body...again, it's beyond me how this thing is supposed to work. But I noticed feeling great for 3 days after I did it the first time. The second time--well maybe that's why I didn't have a tough time traveling to my family's. Not sure. Just so you know, I've always been a straight-shooting Western medicine person. Never into alternative stuff. But Western medicine wasn't doing anything to help. So, I first turned to vitamins/supplements, and decided I didn't have anything to lose by trying these other things. Ok, that's my story. Anyone else? Happy New Year to everyone, and thank you for your support. Ann
