Just wanted to tell you something funny that happened. My son takes classes

through a charter school and has an hour between two of the classes. So I took

him to a KFC/A & W fast food place. We were sitting in a booth, next to four

women who were gabbing the whole time. Geesh, they were loud. Anyway, we

finished

eating and for the first time, DS stood up and threw his food wrappers, cup,

napkin, everything!! in the trash! My mouth dropped open! I gave him the

biggest hug and almost started crying. I told him I was so proud of him (my 9 yr

old) for throwing out the trash!! I even swung him around. He was so excited.

That's when I noticed the women in the ajoining booth had all stopped talking

and were looking at us like we were nuts! I can just imagine what they were

thinking. Even DS was laughing about it when we got back into the car. We left

those women totally stunned. I bet they had a lot of talking to do once we left.

Ha! :)

DS is almost completely over his OCD symptoms. Once in a great while I'll see

him shake his hand or foot, but when I asked him about it, he tells me he

didn't realize he did it. He thinks he's doing it out of habit because he says

he

doesn't feel any dust there any more. It's weird but I've almost forgotten

how bad it was. I do remember thinking the bad times would never end, but they

did! Now I'm off worrying about the whole High Functioning Autism thing. Anyone

else with a HFA child? Still, to me having a child with HFA is not as much of

a problem as the OCD was. (This is just in my case of course.)

Thanks so much for this list. I know my son wouldn't be where he is today if

I hadn't found this list. I wouldn't have pulled through either. We wouldn't

have discovered Inositol. I just can't imagine what we would have done.

Thank you all,

Debbi in So. Calif.

Hi Debbi, This is the greatest story! How long has your son been

taking inositol? How soon did you see positive results? Thanks for

posting!
