Guest guest
The citrus from South Texas is AMAZING! I was totally tickled to pick up my box of grapefruit just after Christmas. My husband who isn't too much into grapefruit reluctantly tried a bite and ended up eating one right after another! He said it's really terrific. The grapefruit do taste like grapefruit but is SWEET! You most definitely cannot go wrong, like Will said! (Hey, the Lemon Margarita sounds good! Recipe!! I'll even trade you my Gingerita recipe!) And you cannot beat the price. Except if you went to Sam's Club perhaps but then there you're supporting the huge farm and not the family farm Alvin hooked up with. Which just defeats the purpose. Sara R. PS Some grapefruit I accidentally left out in the garage froze, and were as hard as rocks when I found them! Oh dear! But I kept my hand from the red panic button and tried something. I let them defrost overnight at room temperature then sampled them. A bit sourer and less " fibrous " but still GOOD! Amen! ________________________________ THE FRUIT----I know this South Texas farm's ORGANIC citrus is NUTRIENT DENSE. The farm, one that has been nurtured to maximum sweetness, primarily by farm coach Sabino Cortez, famed compost tea brewer and soil expert, has evolved to get a better crop every year. This particular weather season has combined with the healthy soil and trees to produce one of the best crops ever. You can't go wrong! I have been enjoying these juicy Red Grapefruit and the juicy eating Oranges for at least two weeks, ever since they ripened and were picked. We've also just ordered a new batch of Meyer's Lemons! (we practiced making the perfect Meyer's Lemon Margarita Friday night!).
