Guest guest
Thank you to everyone who replied to my " lots of questions. " I have already made a few calls, but have had trouble finding a doctor so far. I'll keep looking. I have been looking at several of your photos in the Files and have found all of your children adorable! Just looking at these cute babies in helmets brings tears to my eyes... They are just so cute and have no idea what this whole helmet-thing is all about. They all look so happy. I had no idea that plagiocephaly was so common, and I am very happy to have found this message board. I also went to the DOC Band site since several of you have mentioned it. I also looked at the photos there and my heart melted when I saw what the babies go through to get a helmet. What is the normal time frame from finding a doctor to getting fitted to getting the helmet? I feel like I need to hurry. The only problem is that we are moving to Puerto Rico in 3 weeks and I am not sure if I should wait until we get there to find a doctor or if I should start now. I have noticed that Cranial Tech does not have any clinics in NJ (where we live now)or in Puerto Rico for that matter. Is there a big difference in other helmets vs. the Doc Band? Should I make a huge effort to get to one of these clinics or do the other helmets work just as well (or better)? Any suggestions?
Guest guest
Hi le, wore her band for a little over 10 months. Her last band wasn't recommended by her ortho. I wanted to do another band to see if we could get anymore correction. I was told to expect 50% correction, she ended up receiving over 90+% correction! :-) From day one she was toatlly fine with her DOCband. Good luck and keep us posted. -- In Plagiocephaly , " eramo1543 " <eramomd@...> wrote: > > Thanks for writing me back .
