Guest guest
For those who use the Midmark PC-based EKG, have you found the computer interpretation to be totally incorrect often? Also, have you found that the lead placement can drastically alter the results? I had a recent EKG say that a lady had “old inferior infarct” but then I sent her for confirmatory EKG at the hospital & it was normal. I think maybe I placed the upper limb leads (RA, LA) on the wrists rather than up near the deltoids. Would that create an erroneous waveform (ie, Q waves in inferior leads)? That does not seem smart on Midmark’s part to make a product that can so readily give false reports. I have just not been real impressed with the Midmark stuff (holter works OK but the spirometry & EKG are too difficult to obtain reproducible results on).
