Guest guest
Hi.. I know Waxman wrote a book of feeding a baby baby food. She may be available for consultation relative this situation. There is a wonderful woman who works at the Kushi Institute and counsels women and children, her name escapes me. She does consults via phone. I know her last name begins with an A. If I think of it, I will post it. She has brought up many children. Diane M

Guest guest
Hi there I might be mistaken but I thought asked this question last week. Did you try any of the recommendations yet ? I have enclosed the emails again in case they got lost somewhere along the way. If you would like one on one counselling I would be happy to help out. Please let me know. Many blessings Hi I am not sure how they make that bottled baby food but I suspect it comes from a flour product. This can clog the baby's digestion. If you can find time to make the grain at home, it makes a huge difference. You baby should be eating some solid food too. soft cooked whole grains, pieces of vegetables, tofu, nori, sauteed vegs, cooked fruit, finger foods, very mild miso soup, pasta etc. I also have suggestions for baby food on my web site if you are interested - www.bebabywise.com. Guest guest
Hi , I would recommend going through the whole process of a consultation with as it is important to work through all the possibilities and create a healthy diet that not only resolves the constipation but helps ensure good long term health. I know I am now contradicting myself but one quick fix is to give your baby a drink made from a sea vegetable called agar agar and apple juice. Normally you use agar agar to make an aspic however if you give it to your baby whilst it is still hot it will be in liquid form. Basically dissolve a desert spoon of agar agar into a simmering cup of half apple juice and half water. Let it cool to a comfortable temperature for your son and then let him drink it. Try one cup a day for three days. At the same time give him mainly vegetables either juiced, pureed or in soups. Vegetables and fruits should make up 60% - 70% of his diet for now. Avoid any processed foods like bread, pasta, crackers, biscuits.......and eliminate any salt. Once he is back to normal this diet will have to be adjusted as it is not suitable for more than about two weeks. All the best, Simon Simon G. Brown 22 Belsize Square London NW3 4HT +44 (0) 20 7431 9897 simon@... http://www.chienergy.co.uk/ Hi Everyone, What a topic!, but a very real circumstance in the life of my dear little Jake who is 13 months old. His face turns red and he moans very loudly in obvious discomfort when trying to pass a " boulder " . Reggie, who has been a great support and lives in my town of Boca Raton (how great is that), suggested I post a message to the Group as to the situation with Jake. I am open to learning and seeking viable alternatives. Currently, in addition to the prune juice, the MD has recommend Karo syrup, that in the face of no known viable alternate we have been going with. It is not something I would put in the my wife's or my body, so frankly it pains me to give it to Jake, BUT doing nothing in the face of his obvious great discomfort is presently a trade off. I appreciate that more may need to be heard about Jake, what we are feeding him, etc. to make some alternative recommendations. In the meanwhile, any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Anyone who is willing and would like to inquire further is also welcome to email me directly if you prefer: esssmith@... <mailto:esssmith%40att.net> . Thanks all for listening and caring. Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for your interest and care. Your response is greatly appreciated. I've searched and been unable to locate your book " Yummy Yummy in My Tummy " . Please provide whatever information will enable me to do a successful search on & Noble. We've been steering away from the use of Earth's Best and Organic Baby products and increasingly towards a variety of fresh veggies. This has includes kale as a " greens " . He is also getting little tofu chunks in some grain. He gets a daily bath and mostly relaxes on my shoulder. I don't give him a daily belly rub, only occationally, and will begin it daily today and also try the agar agar drink you suggested. Fortunately Jake has a good appetite and hasn't met a food he doesn't like. Is 14 months too early for miso? The children's gastro MD has him on Enulose, which has softened his stool so that he's not in pain from passing. Based upon further recommendations we've cut out bananas, apples and apple juice, and were told that rice contributed to his constipation, so he's gotten barley and whole oats. I admit I am a little lost here, especially since some actions we are taken go against my " gut " . I look forward to getting your book in our hands. A sincere thanks again! Guest guest
have you taken Jake off dairy? I did a google search and this is what I found: Enulose (Lactulose Solution) Enulose is used as a laxative in dogs and cats. Common side effects include bloating and flatulence. Caution should be used in animals with electrolyte imbalance. Consult your veterinarian about dosing regimens You can buy 's wonderful book at 's website: www.simplynatural.biz I hope things continue to get better for you guys and little Jake. Guest guest
Thanks Reggie, The MD is tops in his field, his approach is conservative and Jake is no longer s-u-f-f-e-r-i-n-g. Heck, the medication probably works swell in pigs, too. For what it is worth, you are singing to the choir. I do my best to find a balance. Next, is evolving our practices in a manner that will hopefully relieve Jake of this condition. Many of the members of this list are contributing to that present evolution. I printed out 's recipe for Grain Milk and will run it by LA, my wife, with the intention of reducing or eliminating milk. How do you deliver calcium to a 14 month old.......... bancha tea? I just ordered the book! I sent an email to Sandy Pukel as I am curious about his book and will post the name of it once I have it. I have spoken to LA about maybe going on the cruise next year, since we've missed all the previous cruises. I see my friend Rabbi will be presenting. It is sooooooooooooo beneficial for me and my family to be connected to you all! Thanks & Stay Well, PS: We could not make it to the park at Noon on Sat., next time! > > > > > > Hi there > > > > > > I might be mistaken but I thought asked this question > last > > week.
