Hi Ilanit

Thanks for your lovely comments. I always enjoy the links you send -

wonderful.

As for chewing baby's food - I remember some old time macro mums doing

it. I did chew regular rice a few times for my girls but it was only on

a couple of occasions and when we in a place where I couldn't give them

their food . I think if the baby's solid food is thin enough and

gradually thickened, pre chewing isn't necessary.

I just saw the Natren site, looks good except that the probiotics for infants are all made in a dairy media, but my cousin is not vegan so it shouldn't be a problem for her. Thanks Illanit! If the baby is still being nursed, the mum can put a little breast milk in his

ear. This clears up an ear infrection very quickly coz breast milk has the

ability to break up mucus. You can also try homeopathic drops which work very

well too. For older children a salt pack is very good for ear trouble but only

after the age of 5.

Hey ,

I used to give Marlie Jarrow babydophilus and was told it's a really

good one. It's powder obviously and I'd put some water in, mix it

up and put it in a syringe and Marlie loved it.

I think what Simon said was wait till you finish antibiotics then

start the probiotics, could be wrong..........

Hope the baby feels better soon.

not put him on an antibiotic, she has to or else the daycare she has

to put her son in a few days a week won't take him. So she wants to

put him on a probiotic during the antibiotic treatment, and for a

time afterwards to replenish his intestinal flora. However, she

does not know what is a good brand for babies and how long he should
