Guest guest
i do have some news regarding labcorp.. they presented me with an agreement which i signed and returned to them, which they have also since signed and returned to me. it governs the use of the printer and a dedicated fax line, which they will pay for. i am waiting now for labcorp to complete their portion of the interface. i will then be able to print out lab reqs, and they will have the req in their system electronically as soon as i send the req is printed (in my office). that will be a big timesaver. then, when AC finishes it's portion of the interface, we'll be able to download labs directly to the chart, and then save the labs to the individual patient chart after i check them, and hopefully the labs will also become a part of the chronic/preventive care registry in AC. in the meantime, and as a side note, i have also had some discussions with qwest. they seem much more interested in getting things going, and to top it off, they seem much friendlier. however, since labcorp has signed the agreement, i will wait for labcorp to produce before making a move from them to qwest. in terms of time, i am anticipating the lab req setup by the end of January, and for the AC registry by the end of March. hope that's helpful. happy new year, and i think we'll see a lot of progress. I was looking back over the listserve from the past few months and was curious if you have been able to implement the interface with labcorp to amazing charts, or if you have an update on the timeline. Thanks, Greg Sharp MD Woodland Park, CO Yahoo! for Good - Make a difference this year.
