We have a seventeen year old rescued pug, a great teacher of serenity,

love, loyalty and affection. A pair of completely independent, black,

raptor safe, lovable rescued cats, as rodent control. There just aren't

enough rattlesnakes around anymore as all the neighbors tend to shoot

them. In addition, in a 'pond' along the west side of the shop we have

several hundred koi-goldfish, of a wide variety of sizes/ages and

colors, keeping the water 'alive'. Living with animals is an aspie

friendly endeavor in as much as there is very little small talk and a

lot of just being friendly. We live with countless other creatures,

such as the bats that inhabit our home in the summertime, birds,

lizards, snakes, rodents, moths and butterflies. One, or another, seems

to be constantly grabbing our attention! We love them all.

I dont have any at the moment but have had cattle dogs. My very favourits pets are tortoises & yabbies( Australian native freshwater crayfish) also have had adopted kangaroos that had been orphaned in road accidents.

Snake food, LOL!

I'm a cat person. Cats love me, all dogs hate me. They're a pain in the ear. If they can create hairless dog, why can't someone invent a voiceless breed especially for Aspies?

Her name is Nike, 4 yrs, quite a personality;) We've had our share of birds and rats too...(the kids)...

But I hope that part (small animals) is over....One rat however was quite fascinating. Very much like a dog

that actually came if I called her....She slept in my lap as well when I watched TV.....the other rat we had was

a mean little thing that was ment to be snake-food.....and should have remained beeing snakefood......

They both lived for over 3 yrs.....Never thought that last rat would die.....and even had to hold a funeral for

it since the younger son was VERY much into rituals at the time....:))
