About a year ago I found a sugar substitute that is plant based with no chemicals added.

I've heard of another sweetener called Xylitol which

is supposed to be as sweet as sugar but not cause cavities.

Definition from net: "Xylitol is a sugar alcohol, obtained commercially

from wood sugar, xylose. It is a natural substance and the body makes

about about 10 grams every day. It is not a drug. It is commonly used

as a sugar substitute in many foods, especially chewing gum, because

such use prevents tooth decay."

It is on a site promoting good

dental habits. (http://www.epicdental.com/Research.asp) It cites tons of studies but I am always suspicious of

research studies and how they are reported. I've seen this sold on

ebay too. Anyway, just a thought on this idea of sweeteners.

and the zoo.
