Hi,

Where do you get rose water? I have been reading about some of its

wonderful uses. I never thought to use it in cooking but a wonderful

thing to do.

I use it in a smoothie recipe along with hemp seed and soy yogurt. Occassionaly, you will see it used in desert recipes.

what kind of soy yogurt do you use? There was one sweetened with agave

syrup but they discontinued it. I can only find them with sugar..

One of the brands is 's Plain Soy Yogurt

Sweetened with one or more of the following: organic kosher white grape juice, organic agave, organic maple syrup - free of cane sugar http://www.nancysyogurt.com/nancys_products/soy.php

And the one I prefer is Wildwood Natural Foods Plain Soy Yougurt:

INGREDIENTS: organic soymilk (filtered water, organic soybeans), tricalcium phosphate, pectin, active cultures (s. thermophilus, l. bulgaricus, l. lactis, l.acidophilus, b. lactis). Wildwood Natural Foods is in California

The smoothie also has cardamom, rice syrup and bananas (I know they are tropical but if you only have them occassionly).

Also, I won't use the "Silk" brank of soy yogurt because it contains "evaporated cane juice" which they call "raw sugar" but to me sugar is sugar.

Wildwood!!! unsweetened -- it is THE BEST

I also make my own with fresh sweetened soy milk (from one of the

local shops here in Boston area), yogurt starter, and kudzu root to

thicken

I made this last night! Mine is probably thicker - actually it is not

much different than the congee I usually make. Plus, I am usually too

lazy to prepare lotus root. Thanks again for posting the menus - it

helps me to switch things up a bit. :)
