Guest guest
A Special, Far Away Friend by Anonymous I can't tell you her name because she'd be uncomfortable with that, and I respect her wishes. But I can tell you this: She writes to many pen pals in various countries, she records letters and radio programs, she tucks treats into her letters such as newspaper clippings, photographs, tea, chocolate and dried flowers. She even has nice handwriting. She might telephone on special occasions and she has many interests to share, despite her illness. She survives her relapses with grace and patience. She's tactful, trustworthy, positive, and she has a droll sense of humor. She's reliable, kind, encouraging and generous. Best of all, I get to feel happy every day to have such a special friend in my housebound life!
