Strikes me, living in SoCalifornia in rainy times, that we see the

cost of lacking a firm foundation as slick hillsides slither out from

under showy homes. I think it must be the same with a human

relationship as with a house that is built without a solid base.

If we have a chance to choose, as I believe we all do, why not be

sure that our life is built on a solid foundation? Makes sense to

me that having a plan (such as that provided by Terry Gorski and

sometimes remembered by me -- not often enough!) might be a

good idea.

Would you want your home, your life, to be resting on a firm and

solid foundation? Or would you like to trust shifting soil that can

wash right out from under a multi-million-dollar mansion? Did

you see the elegant homes that were toppled by our rains? Oy!

So, consider COMMUNICATION as a first step in getting to know

anyone who will be part of your own life. Work on that for a while

before venturing into mutual (get that?) CARING -- with anyone

from strangers to acquaintances to companions to friends, as

we acquire associations and bring people into intimate contact --

and then possibly into COMMITMENT to move to a higher plane.

I see a strong parallel to building a home on sound ground. -Zer
