Here I am posting a new subject before my most recent one has e-vaporated, but

here goes...

Does anybody have a great idea for laptop/tablet PC carts you use in your

office? It needs to be stable, easy move around, not too obtrusive and offer a

little storage.

Thanks,

Office Depot has a great mobile presentation stand for $85 each! I have 4 of them in my office, one for each of our 2 providers and 2 nurses. They are stable and lightweight and we have never had a problem with them. They area available in grey and cherry finish and look great!

I got a 1950s vintage over-bed hospital table from the basement of our

hospital. It was free, since we are renting the building from them and

it fits the 1950s decor of the building. They also actually have a

genuine iron lung down there in the basement that they pull out once

in a while and display in the lobby, along with some other old stuff.

Here's a picture of it with my tablet PC which has a 12 " screen.

I like this about as well as anything else I've tried. I find it is

not too intrusive. I can move it around in the room and adjust it up

or down depending on whether I want to stand or sit down.

And I can always face the patient even when using the computer.

I use a mobile cart from Balt (BaltInc.com), which I ordered on the

internet. It is very stable (when children try to hang on the

edge), easily moveable, and has room on top for my laptop and mouse,

and a few papers. It is possible, I believe, to order attachements

for underneath to provide some storage room. I can slide and swivel

it easily to show things to patients, and position it so there is no

barrier between me and my patient. The height and tilt are

adjustable.
