Why are we providing post op SNF coverage for specialists?

I was hoping someone would know how I ended up fielding phone calls and having

my

name as attending on SNF charts for patients who are post-op ortho? These are my

patients who are post op from specialty procedures.

Doesn't the GLOBAL surgery fee include post op care?

Does anyone else get calls from SNF from nurses asking questions about orders

from a

specialist who has not communicated with you at all?

I guess it is the lack of communication on the part of the specialist that

really irks me. I

am being asked to clarify someone elses orders and discharge a patient I have

never seen

(for that issue) from a SNF.

Can I bill for this? I never have.
