Guest guest
after asking him this,, I just wanted to give you a little update on Shad, the school has bumped him up to grade two and today for the frist time he entered the classroom, but not without me. For the days we go to the school there is a social worker that babysits my two year old. I believe the ones working with Shad have only been funded till april. If he is not in school by himself by then I will not be seeking further funding as it is quite the task to keep trying everyday. I keep hearing about cognitive behaviour therapy, what can you tell me about that? do we need to be pursuing this as well? thank you ..................................... I got this reply: Thanks , CBT is simply encouraging people to work out that their behaviour is not in their best interest and persuade them to try some other options with perhaps more favourable outcomes. Glad Chad is using the classroom. Try to stay in the background so that he can contact other kids and be supported by and encouraged by them. You can then fade gracefully from the scene. He then told the social worker to force him into staying in his class...........they are not impressed,,and neither am I
