This is truly awesome! Well well done, how about lotto snap with

pictures of these things. Does he like to use letters or anything

wordy? If so making up some games to include matching letters and you

having some and him too just helps reinforce it. How is he if you ask

him to do things like roll his tongue, blow raspberries or say

letters? If OK then lots of oral motor movement exercises, keep at

them! If he really likes pictures and matching then flashcards or

pictures printed off the computer especially with those sounds might

be useful. If you said wa- would he add on -ter?

Sorry I dont know much about this I am just so excited for you.

how about “visualising” words with your gestures, similar to what they do with phonetics at school, but making it simpler.

so maybe while you are saying wah-ter do an upward loop with your hand while saying ‘wah’, and then continue smoothly downward while saying ‘ter’ .. Or something like that, so that looks like one smooth uninterrupted continuos movement or gesture that consists of two parts.

great news that he is trying!!!!

Doing well getting new sounds from , he enjoys my efforts lol.

He is still only saying either the end or the beginning of a word

though, it's good to hear different sounds though, now we have " ter "

for water, me thinking Wah, wah could be extended to add the ter, so

what does he do? drops that Wah instead.

Any ideas?

TIA

" thats great sean, you can say 'ta' now if you could say 'W A T er,

i could get you that water really quick, you would have it in no

time. See next time you want water, just say WATER!!

same for anything he likes, if its a sweet, an apple, etc - play

DUMB, " oh, you want an appendix! (when he says " ap " for apple. " Ok, "

then walk real slow and get him something resembling an appendix (you

get my drift). He will of course protest, cause he doesnt want an

appendix and then you say, " oh " you dont want an appendix!, " well,

you know i cant really understand unless you tell me.

work real slow make him wait forever until he gets round to saying

what he wants (only for words you KNOW he can say). Of cousre if all

he can say is " ap " you CELEBRATE BIG STYLE and run like heck to get

him that apple. But if you KNOW he can say apple, then you stretch it

out.
