Guest guest Posted May 14, 2001 Report Share Posted May 14, 2001 Yes, Ursula....that is correct. Skin prick testing is done on the back and Intradermals usually on the sides of the upper arm. Both can be helpful. Dr. Hostoffer tested Mark last year by using a skin prick test, when I told him that only tested positive to intradermals, he agreed that we needed to those also (the skin test on the back were negative). Mark has eosinophils in his nasal smears but all his skin testing was negative...he is allergic, I am sure of it. He probably does not respond to the allergens due to the PID that he has.
