I am very confused about cooking according to seasons. Does that mean

that I look at the calendar or the thermometer? Here in New England,

it does not even feel like spring yet. It feels like fall, but the

calendar *almost* says summer.

Help, please!

I would also go by the weather and not the calendar.

In just one week, our weather (in HI) just became summer. It's HOT!!

(And it's so beautiful. I love it!)

Thanks for your replies. I am getting very frustrated here, it is

*soo* cold and constantly raining. If only you could send some

sunshine and warmth as an email attachment!

I will stop whining now and think about a nice warm stew for dinner.

It's very humid here, not rainy the last few years <sob> but we are getting

a decent amount this past week (which makes it even more miserable once the

sun comes out).

We are now cool, $3000 poorer, but cool nonetheless. I'll be eager to see

our next electric bill to see what a difference it makes. We'll have almost

an entire month with the new unit.

I want to know too. Last month my electric bill was $147 and then

this one was $199 in one month? And I keep the a/c on 80 or higher

sometimes! Why is it so high? I " m thinking I need a new unit too.
