Hi Katja,

I was wondering why you think 3 to 6 months is as long as is

necessary to take HCl?

There is a book by V. , M.D., about the importance of

having enough HCl. Have you read it?

Do you take your HCl at the start of a meal? Now I think I have run

out of questions...for the moment. :-)

I need 5 HCl caps with every meal. My skin problem " rosacea " is 95%

improved. It is really amazing and wonderful to have digestive

problems a thing of the past.

I also follow a very NT way of diet with only a tiny bit of grain now

and then. My digestion is greatly enhanced by this way of eating. I

love it!

TIA,

Sheila

I dont' know if these questions were meant for me or for Katja, but sounds

like me? I think 3 to 6 months simply because that's what NDs have said. I

have not read anything but would like to, thanks for the tip. I was told to

take it immediately after the last bite or right before the last bite of a

meal. I have what looks like mild rosacea so i'm hopeful this will help it

go, as well as a reduced-grain or grain-free diet. Thanks!

Sorry about the mix up of names.

The book about HCl can be found at http://www.tahoma-

clinic.com/crier.shtml. (The Tahoma clinicis the cheapest place to

buy the HCl, that I have found so far.) I swear someone at ths

message board has referred to this book in the past.

I always take my HCl just before I eat, so of course I am wondering

what the famous advocate of HCl, J.V. , M.D., has to say about

the correct time to take HCl.

By the way, a long time ago, Sally Fallon suggested HCl and beet

kvass for my rosacea, but it wasn't until I got the necessary dose of

HCl that I really saw improvement. i do use the beet kvass too.

I'm sure I have read, in one of Alan Gaby and J.V. 's books, of

some people having to take HCl for at least a year.

I wish you well,

Sheila

Dr. works at the Tahoma clinic, which is about 80 miles south of me,

and I met one of his patients, which is how I found out about the book.

Dr. says you'll have to take it forever, but he also isn't into

gluten intolerance ... the gluten intolerant people who give up gluten AND

take HCL seem to recover after some length of time (which varies, can be

up to 2 years, some never). But in the book the statement is that HCL

declines with age ... personally I don't think this is necessarily true, though

it

may be true in our particular society with it's odd diet. Most gastros think

that " villi blunting " is a function of age too, but somehow the villi recover

with a gluten free diet, even when the person is older.
