Guest guest
I'm not saying I based relationships on this.... just that I found that look attractive. You ever just look at people? Guest guest
I do not doubt anything like this, people are attracted and attractive for many different reasons and way.ojmalm wrote: And are women really attracted to geeks, even if they earn millions? Since high-tech jobs tend to be some of the highest paying and many people with AS work in these jobs, their high salary could also be attracting women to them. Having a good income means being a good provider which is something women look for in a potential mate. Again, this helps men with AS enter the gene pool. Unfortunately a good income can also attract gold diggers, but that is another post altogether. > > Sounds like the simplest, most logical explanation. :-) > > IngerFAM Secret Society is a community based on respect, friendship, support and acceptance. Guest guest
, This is an interesting topic. I am sure we have all seen beautiful women with old rich guys (reminds me of a joke I can tell at the end). Many women (I have met men too) go after someone with money. How difficult do you think that is to deal with as a man? regardless of financial status it has to be frustrating. I know that I had men go after me because I had a good career and income and it made me feel used. Ruth OH the joke; this 60 year old man had a knock down gorgous obviously young woman all over him at the country club and his friend asked him later, "how in the world did you get someone like that to be with you?" and his friend replied "I lied about my age". The guy looks at him and said "what you told her you were only 40?" to which he replied "no, I told her I was 85".VISIGOTH@... wrote: Bill Gates is married isn't he? Gold diggers don't much care what a man looks like as long as they have money. Some variants are even more shallow and base their choice solely on what kind of car the man drives (and they will be seen in). I have seen both examples personally. Two of these I met in college. The first one was a stunningly beautiful asian girl who knew it and dressed it. She was very manipulative with her charms and could get most men to jump at just a wink. It didn't bother me though since I knew what she was about. Still, she was very nice to look at (indeed a friend of mine showed me a special edition of Playboy magazine featuring just asian women and we both swear she was in it). My point about her was that she was after a man with money. I often heard her say that looks were secondary to the money and her access to it. How she was treated even took a second to money. The car girl was also at college. She was like the other one except that her fixation was on cars rather than money, but otherwise her thought processes were much the same. I did once witness a group of women comparing what they thought were potential "mates" at their place of business, some kind of office. They compared many different men and were talking and these were topics mentioned: their car, current salary, promotion potential, future salary, if they lived in a house or apartment, etc. Never once did I hear a mention of the men's character, appearance or how they treated others (well, they did seem to find a somewhat bullying attitude attractive: they seemed to confuse that with leadership). It was like listening to a credit agency deciding who to give a credit card to. Very interesting, but disgusting enough that I had to rush my meal. Guest guest
: > I'm not saying I based relationships on this.... just that I found that > look attractive. You ever just look at people? I love looking at people. Both men and women. I thoroughly enjoy resting my eyes on someone I find attractive. But it seems that I rarely find the same features attractive as most other people do. I have sort of odd taste. And enjoying how someone looks still does not necessarily mean that I would like to get to know that person. Or if I did, that I would like to be more than just friends. For me it's like going to a museum or antiques fair or something. It can be very enjoyable to watch all these beautiful or interesting objects, but that doesn't mean one would like to own them. The qualities that I personally find most attractive in a man is the combination of intelligence, decisiveness & will to do good.
