Guest guest
Hi Friend, Biotin is a B-vitamin that is very involved in energy metabolism. Biotin supplements increase insulin sensitivity, while also increasing the activity of a liver enzyme (glucokinase) that helps the body metabolize glucose. In a study of Type 1 diabetics, 16 mg/day of biotin significantly lowered fasting blood glucose levels and improved overall blood glucose control. Type 2 diabetics received equally impressive results using 9 mg/day of biotin. Biotin supplements must be mentioned to your physician, because diabetics typically can sometimes lower their medication requirements by using biotin. Biotin is one of the more expensive of all vitamins. -- Ilanit Tof - Signature Ilanit Ms Ilanit Tof B.A. (Psychophysiology/Psychology) Advanced Diploma Healing with Wholefoods PhD Holistic Nutrition (candidate) Little Tree Oriental Healing Arts Helping you grow to new heights of wellbeing with Oriental Traditions and Modern Nutrition ilanit@... www.littletree.com.au
