Guest guest
Hello , I love porridge made from whole oats. I sometimes add raisins and nuts. If I have it in the summer I like to add berries. The oil from oats is considered to be good for the heart and circulation. The whole oats are low in terms of the GI. Best wishes, Simon Does anyone here eat porridge (hot cereal) or am I the only one? In such a cold climate my body craves it. Guest guest
Hi Porridge is a great way to start the day and gives you sturdy, steady energy that is light enough to get going. There is nothing better on a cold, wintery morning. If you are having soft cereals for all your meals, you might want to re-consider because it can make your digestion weak. Grains cooked with more water are more relaxing but are similar to baby food and don't help the intestines to work. Too much watery foods make it more difficult to focus and think clearly. Guest guest
hot cooked grains are the best choice for breakfast. your digestive system is like that of a newborn in the morning so must be treated with care! boxed cold cereals are a new invention - 100 years or so and we are no adapted to eat them regularly. plus they all - even natural ones - contain excitotoxins. the Ceral killer in your cupboard you can make porridge from anything - whole rice, millet etc or crackes grains or a mixture of them Lemoine wrote: Does anyone here eat porridge (hot cereal) or am I the only one?
