Guest guest
, Two questions regarding your post- s CD3 result was 57% (61-76) and the absolute count was 1.66. The other " CD " s were within range. Are you able to explain what the CD3 is all about, and whether this could be a clue as to s PID diagnosis? Tetanus and Diptheria Abs were done, and in protective levels. I assume I am interpreting this test correctly by thinking it is the antigen test you talked of? If so, no titres have been done (or is this the titre test meaning no antigen tests have been done??) You can see I'm confused! And with s chronic penile thrush problem, would candida be a good one to check, too? I have to add a #3 (sorry!).Is there such a thing as extreme Lymphocyte Proliferation? I am going to persue having s blood drawn before the pneumovax to check the pre- levels. Thanks again,

Guest guest
Rececca, ESR (Sedamentation Rate) measures levels of inflammation. It is not a test that can measure a specific cause of inflammation, however. Say for example if a person has crohn's disease and happens to have a severe sinus infection at the time, either one of these could increase a person's SED rate. Generally speaking, the higher the level the greater the problem. A URI or sinus infection *could* increase a SED rate but not nearly as high as active RA, lupus, crohns, LCV,etc., etc. It can be of importance when dealing with certain medical issues. Hope this helps. Autumn (Mom to Mark Cd5-Cd19 PID and ) Re: Antibody levels > , > > What is the ESR (sed rate) all about?
