Guest guest
Date: Fri Dec 31, 2004 1:01am Subject: Re: Re:Gayle/toilet hi gayle, ... my r hand is broken... but i wanted to let you know that i am in the same boat, with variations... after i had been on nuerontin for about a year for shingles - 1800mg/day - i began to sleep walk. it sounds like that may be what you're doing. you might want to have a sleep study done, with them also measuring for sleep walking along with apnea. i have so many apneas, it's ridiculous. but the nuerontin messed up the sleep mechanism that tells your muscles to shut down. i suggest that you put padding in front of you where you may fall off the t and hit your head. i have awakened myself by hitting my head on a cupboard, and running across the room trying to catch myself; i burned a hole in my carpet the exact shape of a whole cigarette; i used to rearrange things so that i felt like someone had been in the house - that's how i first noticed the problem. another possible is to set up pop cans with a few pennies in them to block your path - they make a horrible racket, or string some that you can place in front of you while you're on the t so that your chest or head hit them if you fall forward. you also might want to try that new med lunesta for sleep - it's supposed to be nonaddictive. i also have diabetes and asthma. i tried melatonin and magnesium for sleep, and it worked for a couple of weeks only; so i've decided to only do it maybe once a week. and i take Bx + 1500mcg of B12 in the a.m., which makes me feel less sleepy during the day. if you want to chat at night, i think you can get my email from alliance. i work from about 12 midnight to 4 a.m., on and off - feel free to write and we can rig up the instant messaging. keep us posted... best ever, shannon Gayle Backstrom <gayle.backstrom@v...> wrote: OK, I wasn't going to go into it, but you asked. :-) Along with my FM and CFS, I also have Irritable Bowel and Bladder. I also have had a problem with incontenance (started after a hysterectomy, but tests don't show why). The side effects of many of my meds is constipation, so I have a stool softener. Guest guest
Just want to add my 2 cents about Neurontin: I tried it, and quit it after a couple of months. My balance was awful when I was on it, plus it messed with my mind. I forgot how to get out of my van and I fell. I 'lost' one of the drawers in my spare room. ......If you can take it without bad side effects, fine. Just be careful with it, because it can mess you up. Wishing You Well, Betty K.
