You are doing GREAT (wtg on the belts!) and thats one thing with working out/weight lifting... do at your OWN pace and have your own stepping stones! Never mind that this guy's biceps are bigger than his pea sized brain!! Hang in there!! AMy > Today at work I had an experience that really p... bothered me. Guest guest
Bill, I LOVE THIS!!!! Stalking dumbbells. Too funny, my friend. I'll never be able to look at the rack quite the same. , Use your anger towards a workout. I guarantee you'll hit a 10, maybe a 20! I would disregard what the musclehead says. He sounds like he lacks maturity and common sense. He must have his own problems if he puts you down, or maybe it's just his own insecurity and inability to coexist with others. If he continues to exhibit inappropriate behaviours, Lana will poke his eye out and I'll leg press him! MP > I think your co-worker is right. have you ever tried to sneak up on a > dumbell those things are quick, first you must stalk the dumbell > rack, hidding behind the leg press machine, always making sure that > you are downwind and you don't make any sudden movements, you never > want to spook a herd of Dumbells, oh the horror. you lie in wait just > for the right moment to pounce you notice that a set of 45 dumbells > are laggin behind the herd, looks like they have a gimp handle, nows > the time to use that killer instinct because if you don't those > dumbells are going to get away and you aren't going to have a set of > dumbells for that next set. Guest guest
YOu know what I do when someone says something like that to me? I act hurt and humble. I say something like 'Oh gosh, you think I shouldn't even try?' or I take it personally and look sad and say something like 'my life isn't worth very much is it?'. (Okay maybe this won't work for a guy) The muscle heads then wonder if I really have hurt feelings then I go and leg press 300# just to make them feel bad. Just to prove to my self I can do it. The one thing that I find is a major motivator is when some one states that I can't do something. IT makes me work 10 times harder to do it. Laughing all the while in their faces, not literally just figuratively... Keep kicking but and takin' names, you win in the end my friend, MEgan > Today at work I had an experience that really p... bothered me.
