appointmentquest and Treo

Tim,

If you are planning on doing the scheduling yourself, you are missing out on

the true benefit of appointment quest and you might as well be using

outlook. Here is my ultra geek example of how I use a treo and appointment

quest: As I am out and about on the town, a patient schedules an

appointment online with appointmentquest. Appointmentquest then sends me an

email notification of an appointment being scheduled. I can set the treo to

check my mailbox every (x) minutes and even sound an alert if I have new

emails. I can then see who scheduled an appointment and when. I can

instantly import the appointment into my calendar on the treo (and sync it

with outlook). I really have no reason to access appointment quest at all

while on the go, as long as I remember to import each appointment email into

my calendar (which takes about three taps of the stylus).

Example 2 Even Better (and geekier!) My open access same day visits are

made available on appointmentquest every evening for the following morning

between 8-9am. I go to bed with the treo on the nightstand. When my alarm

goes off at 6:30, I reach over and hit three buttons on the treo to see if

anyone scheduled an acute visit between 8 and 9. No new appointments? ....I

hit the snooze button and sleep for another half hour.

Re: Re: RE: [appointment scheduler

Am looking at the new Treo 700W with broadband. In theory I could access

appointmentquest from anywhere (we have broadband available all around my

area... not an option in some locations of course), book the appt and then

notify the patient. A couple steps in the process but if I'm out-and-about

the convenience to know the task is complete may be worth it.

Will try to update folks as I practice everything in the next 4-5 weeks

with opening six weeks away.
