have half a 'nana plus some protein to finish this " meal "

banana's are kinda high glycemic I think, and are best for post-workout meals.

It probably doesn't matter too much, but personally if I had to add a

few more calories I'd add protein. Are you getting 1g of protein per

1 lb. of bodyweight?

Andy, that just confuses me. I don't know anything about that grams

versus bodyweight. Can you clue me in?

Take your weight in lbs either lean body weight or total body weight

usually works too and make sure you get 1 gram of protein for each lb

that you weigh. You will see in food nutrition information, how many

grams of protein are in a serving. I agree it is kind of strange to

be comparing gms to lbs, but for some strange reason we measure

protein with metrics and our own weight in lbs in the USA.

I tentatively suggest, pending agreement from some others around here

(Andyman, Glenda, et al), that 1g protein per *lean* weight is best

for those who merely want to *maintain* the amount of muscle they

have, while 1g protein per *total* bodyweight is best for those who

want to *add* muscle. Does this sound reasonable?

I have been trying to figure out thisGlycemic index stuff having to do with how food affects your blood sugar.Banana's are now a no-no to me. An apple would be better acourding to this article in Muscle Media. Anybody else trying or has figured this out!!! Acording to this a snickers bar rated higher than a banana???
