My cousin is one, and I have friends who have worked with them and had very good results. There are many resources out there but you need to know your way around the system I think, in order to know what to access. Good luck with further improvements and your quest for a life! Guest guest Posted November 15, 2002 Report Share Posted November 15, 2002 Amy, Thank you for the info, my neighbor just gave me all the numbers etc. for home hospice/health care. I did have to "lay it on the line" tonight with my mom about needing others to help out with all this. She keeps saying she understands, and then calls the next day wanting me to change my schedule again to help with something or another, this time I'm not backing down as I am making the arrangements for the social worker etc. to get her into the system. We'll keep our fingers crossed that she lets them help, and doesn't do what her mother did...basically she was so cranky and unwilling to make an effort to accept help from anyone but the family, that they "fired" her. :-( Wish me luck!
