Guest guest
Hi there. I have a question about a patient who came in a month ago. 64yo male with total hematuria. Clots in urine. Has RA that is under control. 2007 - cancerous tumor removed from bladder - BCG tx 2007 - BCC removed from left cheek 2009 - 3 separate surgeries to implant right coronary artery stents 2009 - bladder biopsy performed - non-cancerous mass 2009 - triple bypass 2011 - cystoscopy - red patch of inflammed area in bladder Patient also indicated that there was blood in the urine in 2007 post scope when there was a catheter accident that caused a false channel. Passing of blood has been an intermittent phenomenon since then. Now scoped every 6 months. On initial presentation bleeding with every urination. Burning in urethra. Since being on heart meds, penis is shriveled and he is impotent. Increased frequency and urgency. CT scan last month of GU - everything normal MD wants to remove bladder. Seeing this specialist mid-october. UA - +ve for WBC, protein, blood Rx Meds: avapro 150mg, metoprolol 25mg, ranitidine 150mg, ASA 81mg, Crestor 20mg, Hydroxychloroquine 200mg BID, Adalat 30mg, Allopurinol 200mg 1st prescription Zea Mais 75 drops 2x/d Vitamin C - buffered 1/4 tsp 4x/d Unda #2,7,44 - 5drops TID CoQ10 - 150mg TID After three weeks, minor blood with starting and stopping urination. 2nd prescription Ulmus campestris 1 tsp 2x/d Unda #7, 15, 37 Called after 4 days to report very easy bruising of arms which was not present before. happend after golfing. Increase in blood in urine. Thinking is this: 2nd prescription of Undas is wrong. Need to continue to focus draining urinary tract. Need to continue to work opening emunctories. Then need to treat cardiovascular system. Why the easy bruising with the 2nd prescription? Any recommendations? I want to continue to work the GU system, but know I have to work on the liver/GI, and the cardiovascular systems. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, many thanks Jonathon Berghamer Whiterock BC
